Press Release

Catch Media® announces UltraViolet support

Play Anywhere® to help UltraViolet users stream to over 1 billion devices

10 January 2012, Las Vegas: Catch Media (www.catchmedia.com), the award-winning provider of a patented licensed Smart Cloud technology, Play Anywhere®, is participating in the UltraViolet eco-system as a partner developer and client implementer of UltraViolet(www.uvvu.com), the ground-breaking new way to enjoy home video entertainment.

Catch Media have been involved with DECE from the beginning because they believe it is important to have open industry standards to improve the consumer experience in accessing their content across devices. Catch Media continues to be at the forefront of industry developments providing products and systems to our partners to enable their cloud based entertainment and media services.

UltraViolet is a consortium of around 75 digital entertainment companies, including movie studios, digital device manufacturers and electronics retailers–that is tasked with standardizing Digital Rights Management (DRM) practices. Along with being a partner developer of UltraViolet, Catch Media will also provide a clearing house for disbursement of payments and link to other consumer content registries.

Much like Catch Media’s Play Anywhere® enabled access service in music, UltraViolet is centered around a shared, cloud-based account platform that allows consumers to create personal digital libraries, with the freedom to access movies and TV shows both at home and on-the-go, across multiple devices.

Yaacov Ben-Yaacov, CEO Catch Media Inc. commented: “Catch Media will assist the UltraViolet ecosystem by offering technical services and expertise as a partner developer and client implementer. Catch Media was founded on the vision of providing consumers with anytime, anywhere access to content while ensuring rights holders maintain control over distribution and are compensated on consumption. Naturally, the work Catch Media has done in music, books, and video services, complements the goals and achievements to date of the UltraViolet alliance. Catch Media looks forward to enabling UltraViolet’s continued growth.”

Catch Media is exhibiting at the 2012 International CES in Las Vegas. Please email moc.aidemhctacnull@SEC to arrange a personal demonstration.

About Catch Media

Founded in 2003, Catch Media deploys award-winning patented technology, Play Anywhere® and a suite of products that allow licensed partners to offer consumers seamless and convenient access to their personal digital content regardless of the distribution method, be it physical or digital.

Through its technology, Catch Media provides the industry with the insight to allow it to better meet the consumer’s needs while enabling it to market bundled content and offers to better meet consumers’ tastes.

The Play Anywhere® platform allows transactions to occur between the ‘walled garden’ clouds that are increasingly restricting the consumer’s ability to use and share content as they wish

As a DECE/ UltraViolet member and developer partner, Catch Media announced the integration of movies through the Play Anywhere® platform at CES 2012 while also providing seamless access through the Play Anywhere® interfaces via any smartphone or tablet as well as through the Web, set top boxes, Smart TVs and any many other connected devices.
